Common questions
What are developmental milestones?
Things most children can do by a certain age: how they play, learn, speak, act and move. The CDC publishes checklists for each age so parents know what to look for.
When should I talk to a doctor?
If your baby is not reaching the milestones for their age, or has lost a skill they once had, talk to your pediatrician. The CDC advises acting early rather than waiting.
Every baby grows at their own pace, and these are general guides, not medical advice. For anything about your own baby, your pediatrician is the best person to ask.
